When I can, I do some pro bono work for local groups who wouldn't ordinarily be able to afford professional design services. So I design posters and programmes for the Frome Youth Choir and for The Fairhaven Singers, a superb amateur choir in Cambridge.

I not only work with large, established publishing houses but also with independent publishers and self publishing authors. I've designed covers and texts for local authors Christopher Joll (The Speedicut Papers), Rosie Jackson (The Light Box, The Glass Mother), Graham Burgess (Brockhampton Church, Rights of Passage, The Nature of Green Building, and War Record) and Jessica Wilker (Wie Buddha mir die Flausen austrieb).

A favourite collaboration was with Somerset artists James and Kate Lynch. James's books, Skylines and There never was a finer day were collections of his beautiful egg tempera paintings accompanied by poetry. Kate is working on a series about Somerset crafts: Sheep from lamb to loom, The Beekeeper and the Bee and Farm.

Thanks again Lyn for
a great design and for all
your hard work
